Trenton Camden Lutes

Trenton began his art career at a young age drawing cartoon characters and comic book characters.  After completing high school at Mohawk Central School in Mohawk, NY he attended Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY.  There he was introduced to a whole new level of art.  Overloading on classes during all of his semesters he was able to graduate cum laude with honors, departmental distinction and concentrations in painting, sculpture and glassblowing.  During his years at Hartwick, Trenton also took up a Canon SLR camera for the first time.  He has never put it down since.

As Trenton's photography and art progressed, he created a process of doing large scale photo transfers onto acrylic paint skins which he refers to as Acrylic Paint Skins with Photographic Transfers.  This work earned him a NYSCA (New York State Council on the Arts) decentralization grant, administered by the Tri-County Arts Council of Western New York.  With this funding Trenton was able to create even larger works in a series entitled: My Town: An Exploration in Acrylic Paint Skins with Photographic Transfers of Westfield, NY.

Trenton's love of plants led him to discover the art of bonsai.  As a self-taught enthusiast he creates and cares for many trees as well as teaches beginners classes around Chautauqua County where he currently lives with his wife, two dogs and cat.

Trenton recently published his first science fiction/fantasy novel entitled In-Spire: Book One of The Terra-Healers. Click here to view his Amazon Author Page.
